There will be 45 minutes to answer 10 questions. All six members will be working together during this round. The proctor will announce when there are 10 minutes left.
Students will have a 10 minute reading period to familiarize themselves with the provided background information, followed by a 60 minute time period to work as a team performing calculations and proofs based on the background information. The proctor will announce when there are 10 minutes left.
The round consist of 5 sets. Each set will be 10 minutes long, with 2 questions per set. The questions will be read out loud, during which time students will have their writing utensils down. Once the proctor reads the two questions, they will announce "You may now begin." The proctor will announce when there are 5 minutes left, 1 minute left, and 15 seconds left.
Teams will have 1 hour to work through a maximum of 30 questions. Teams will be given three questions to work on at a time. Once they complete a set of three, they may submit it and receive the next set of three questions. The questions will get progressively difficult, with the 6th, 12th, 18th, 24th, and 30th problem being special bonus problems. A live scoreboard will be available.
Tiebreakers will be provided to the top students from the individual section to determine awards.
